Welcome to the MUSA universe. The websites, content, proposals, and services associated with the MUSA trademarks – MUSA Douro Signature and MUSA Travel (hereinafter jointly referred to as "MUSA") are operated, invoiced, and managed by the legal entity OASIS DETAIL - TURISMO, UNIPESSOAL LDA, headquartered in Pinhão - Portugal, holder of NIPC 519495683 and registered with the National Register of Travel and Tourism Agencies (RNAVT) no. [Insert number].
By requesting our services, accepting a quotation, or confirming a booking with MUSA, the client (and the group of travelers they represent) expressly and unreservedly accepts these Terms and Conditions.
1. Scope and Object of Services
MUSA acts as a specialized agency in the design, planning, curation, and execution of luxury travel, personalized itineraries, events, and premium tourism experiences on a global scale. Our services include the direct organization and/or intermediation between the client and carefully selected international suppliers that meet our rigorous standards of excellence (charming hotels and international resorts, wine estates, private luxury transportation operators, yachts and cruises, local guides, airlines, and restaurants, among others).
2. Proposals, Quotations, and Global Validity
-
Custom Worldwide Itinerary Creation: Each proposal is exclusive and fully personalized according to the client’s profile, preferences, and chosen destination.
-
Quotation Validity: Unless otherwise stated in writing in the sent proposal, all quotations have a strict validity of 15 days from the date of dispatch.
-
Currency Fluctuations and Supplier Availability: After the 15-day validity period, the presented values (which may depend on international exchange rates) and the availability of third-party suppliers cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to tariff adjustments or itinerary changes.
3. Payment Conditions and Deposit Policy
To secure dates with our exclusive international partners and guarantee the execution of all services with full security, the following financial conditions apply:
-
Confirmation Deposit: Upon acceptance and awarding of the itinerary, the client must pay a deposit corresponding to 40% of the total quoted value. The booking will only be considered firm and secured after the successful receipt of this amount.
-
Final Payment (Balance): The remaining 60% of the total trip value must be paid in full up to 45 days before the start date of the first service listed in the itinerary.
-
Last-Minute Bookings or Peak Seasons: For itineraries or experiences requested less than 45 days before departure, or for high-demand destinations/periods, full payment (100%) may be required at the time of confirmation.
-
Payment Methods: International bank transfers or secure electronic payment platforms provided directly by MUSA are accepted.
4. Global Cancellation and Refund Policy
The logistics of worldwide luxury tourism and the curation of exclusive experiences require firm and often non-refundable financial commitments with our local partners around the world. In the event of total or partial cancellation of the trip at the client’s initiative, the following retention fees will apply:
-
Cancellation more than 60 days before the start of services: Full refund of the amount paid, less an administrative management fee of 10% of the total trip value, plus any deposits, airfare issuance fees, and non-refundable amounts already retained by third-party suppliers (e.g., hotels, local operators, or cruises with their own strict cancellation policies).
-
Cancellation between 59 and 30 days before the start of services: Full retention of the confirmation deposit paid (40% of the total proposal value).
-
Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of services: Retention of 100% of the total awarded value, with no refund or credit. Note: If any specific international supplier applies an even stricter cancellation policy, this condition will be communicated to the client in writing in the proposal and will prevail over the general rules.
5. Itinerary Changes and International Force Majeure
-
MUSA Initiative / Local Conditions: We reserve the right to change the order of activities, replace suppliers with equal or superior category partners, or cancel specific experiences if weather conditions, natural disasters, political instability, strikes, civil aviation guidelines, or force majeure reasons put the safety and comfort of clients at risk. In such cases, an alternative of equivalent value will be proposed or a strict and proportional refund of the unperformed activity will be made.
-
Client Initiative: Requests for changes to dates, routes, or services after payment of the deposit will always be subject to availability and rates of the suppliers involved in the destination country, and may incur additional change fees.
6. International Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
-
Agency Coverage: In strict compliance with current Portuguese and European legislation, OASIS DETAIL holds all mandatory Civil Liability and Personal Accident insurance required for travel agency activity.
-
Client-Required Insurance: Given the international nature and high value of personalized itineraries around the world, MUSA strongly recommends that all clients purchase a Comprehensive Worldwide Travel Insurance policy in their country of origin. This insurance must mandatorily include international emergency medical assistance, medical evacuation, trip cancellation/interruption expenses, and baggage protection.
7. Documentation, Passports, Visas, and Health Requirements
It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the client to ensure that all members of their group have the necessary legal documentation in order for entry, transit, and stay in any country included in the itinerary. This includes passports with the minimum validity required by the destination country, consular visas, electronic travel authorizations (such as ESTA, ETIAS), and compliance with any mandatory health or vaccination requirements. MUSA declines any responsibility for refused visas or denied boarding due to irregularities in passengers’ documentation.
8. Image Rights
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by the client before the start of the trip, MUSA reserves the right to use photographs or short video recordings captured by our guides or Journey Designers during activities for the strict purposes of portfolio, social media, and digital marketing of the brand, always safeguarding the dignity and privacy of clients.
9. Dispute Resolution and Applicable Law
The absolute excellence of service is our commitment anywhere in the world. If any detail does not go as expected, the client must report the situation immediately to their dedicated Journey Designer or through our 24/7 emergency contact so that our team can rectify or mitigate the issue in real time during the trip.
-
Complaints Book: In compliance with Portuguese law, OASIS DETAIL has an Electronic Complaints Book (www.livroreclamacoes.pt).
-
Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from this contract, the parties expressly elect the jurisdiction of the Porto Court, with express waiver of any other.
